Learn to podcast with Tim Smith

We’re excited to have Tim Smith of For the Record, here on Officehours, taking part in our Learn to Podcast series. Here’s a little about him, and how he can help you, during his office hours.

Tim’s podcasting story:

I’m a former podcast host from Saint Paul, MN. I hosted a podcast about design and web development called The East Wing for 3 years. It was nominated for several awards, and was eventually distributed by 5by5. In 2014, I founded Goodstuff.fm with my friends Chris Enns and Adam Clark, and designed and built a custom CMS to publish podcasts. Lastly, I hosted For the Record which enjoyed an embarrassingly short run of two episodes, in which I interviewed creators about their life, loss, struggles, and successes.

Tim can help you with questions like:

  • What equipment do I need?
  • How do I connect with people and acquire listeners?
  • How do I take this idea, and turn it into a show?
  • What does it take to be featured on iTunes?
